2 poems to read

On this blog I will basically show you poems and parts of stories that I write, or I'll recomend books. So now that I've perpared you for what you will see on this blog, I'd like to share two poems I made at school recently. Before I let you read the first poem, be sure to remember this is a THING in the poem. It's called personification, if you did not know. Oh, and try to guess what the poem is about.

Colorful is my special friend,

He likes to twist and turn and bend,

His face can be different colors (none of which are dim.)

People try to solve him out,

Find his true colors and what he's about.

But I have figured him out long ago,

When in a package he appeared at my door.

Answer: Rubick's Cube

Here is the next poem, which you do not have to guess what it's about.

He may be small,

But he's the biggest of them all,

Because of his big, fat, heart.

He may not speak so well,

But he's sweet and he's swell,

Because of his big, fat, heart.

When you are with him,

You find he's not really dim,

Because of his big, fat, heart.

In a wheelchair he may ride,

But you'll always be at his side,

Because of his big, fat, heart.

To him they may tease,

But if they knew him they'd cease,

Because of his big, fat, heart.

So if you want to comment about these poems or anything else, feel free to. Thanks.

  1. Lil,

I like your "show don't tell" technique. Can you write a poem about a plum crazy challenger?
